Replacing the kitchen cabinets hardware is perhaps the most inexpensive way to dramatically change the look of a kitchen. Whether the hardware is damaged or outdated, changing the pulls and hinges is a simple, low-cost way to update any kitchen decor.

First you have to find handles and hinges in a style you like. Second, you have to find hardware that fits in the existing holes in your cabinets. Third, you have to consider that you might have to use the same type of hardware that you're replacing.

Some older kitchen hardware just screws into the doors and drawer faces. And, some hinges are the basic kind that go on the outside of the cabinet doors. Newer, articulated hinges may have to be installed in cutouts in the doors, making it difficult to upgrade to a new style.
