Ever get tired of looking at your drab, dark and ugly kitchen cabinets? You know the ones that make your kitchen look sort of like a cave? I betcha didn't know that there are simple ways you can remedy that problem without ripping your kitchen apart, and without spending a fortune. Start with just changing the hardware. You should definitely buy your new hardware on ebay or other online store. I bought my copper pull handles and knobs on eBay and saved about 75%! Be sure and choose hardware that coordinates with your hinges you already have in place, or you'll have to replace those, too. Now that's a royal pain.
Don't forget to measure before you buy. You'll want the holes to line up or you'll have drill new holes, fill the old holes, and try to make it all look right. Don't do that - just buy the right size to begin with, if possible. Before you put your new hardware on you should wipe your cabinets down really well. That should help you feel better already. Add the new hardware and voila, instant update. Or, is it?..... Well, I tried that but I still had dark, drab, ugly kitchen cabinets, though they were clean and they did have new hardware....It just wasn't enough to give my kitchen cabinets the facelift they needed. I had to figure out something before I went completely nuts...... |
