Keep Your Cabinets Clean and Dry

Quality cabinet products are certified by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) Cabinet Certification Program and meet or exceed the American National Standards Institute, ANSI 161.1 standards established for kitchen cabinets.
Cabinet certification tests include loading all cabinet shelves with 15 pounds per square foot (73.3 kilograms per square meter) for a specified period of time. The time weighted loading is followed by an examination of the shelves and the joining of the cabinet for any evidence of movement or structural failure. |
Under normal conditions all wood products contain some moisture. Quality cabinets products are manufactured from wood or wood products that have been dried to an appropriate moisture content and have been inspected for warpage of 1/16" per lineal foot or less.
Wood readily exchanges moisture with the water vapor in the atmosphere according to the existing relative humidity. Uncontrolled extremes (below 25% or above 55% relative humidity) can likely cause warping. In high humidity wood picks up moisture and swells. In low relative humidity, wood releases moisture and shrinks.
This subsequent dimensional change in wood is and always has been an inherent natural property of wood and wood products. Under normal conditions these changes will have little or no effect on your cabinets. However, care should be taken to protect cabinets from extreme conditions. These changes cannot be the responsibility of the manufacturer. |

FINISH Finishes are used to protect and enhance the natural beauty of wood. Extra care is taken to assure a uniform finish. Because we are dedicated to customer satisfaction, we feel that it is important to explain some of the characteristics of Quality Cabinets finishes on hardwood.
Like fingerprints, characteristic differences in color and grain are produced by nature in every tree. These variations are what create the beauty and interest found in the wood. The variations in color, grain and texture will cause variation in the finish, even though identical finishing processes are applied. These variations are considered a natural characteristic of hardwood and are not a defect. We hope that you will appreciate and enjoy this beauty. |
