Ikea sells kitchen cabinets in two basic designs: free-standing and built-in.There are three lines of free-standing kitchen cabinets: Bravad and Varde (designed by Mikael Warnhammar), and Udden (designed by Ehlén Johansson).The built-in line, called Akurum, includes base cabinets (which stand on the floor), wall cabinets (which attach to the wall and include features such as spaces for microwaves, glass doors and corner cabinets), and tall cabinets (which reach from floor to ceiling). All units are modular, and can be mixed and matched into a wide array of configurations.
Both types of Ikea’s kitchen cabinets – free-standing and built-in – are available online, at their stores, and through the Ikea catalog.
